Partnership of Regional Observatories

Małopolska Social Policy Observatory project is operating in the partnership ‘Małopolska Regional Development Observatories’ – the net of research projects. The Małopolska Regional Development Observatories are think-tanks of the local government in the region. This solution is unique in Poland and forms a part of the Małopolska Region Development Strategy. Tasks implemented in the Observatories include evaluation of effectiveness of public policy and promote streamlining of decision-making processes in managing regional development. The network-based formula of the Observatories offers a structured and integrated approach to the public policy research and evaluation system and is helpful when introducing their outcomes to the public debate.

The enterprise of all Observatories is co-financed by the European Social Fund within the framework of Operational Programme  ‘Human Capital’.

Each from the observatories is a separate project which is liable for monitoring distinct sector. Apart from Social Policy Observatory, its whole net is formed by projects realized in different institutions; these are: Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Region (Małopolska Development Policy Observatory, Małopolska Economic Observatory) and another project in Regional Labour Office in Cracow (Labour Market and Education Observatory of Małopolska).
